FAQ
About MADC
What is Maison Atelier Documentation (MADC)?
MADC is an independent design-documentation studio and digital e-commerce platform. We develop technical drawing packages, specifications, reference documents and selected advisory reports for interior projects.
What is the MADC system™?
The MADC system™ is our method for organising design information into controlled documents: drawings, dimensions, specifications, document numbers, revisions and stated scope. It is intended to make project information clearer—not to replace site verification, local law or the appointed project professionals.
Who is behind MADC?
MADC is led by Rayloh, Chief Consultant. His background includes over 20 years of interior-design experience and more than 23 years of continuous AutoCAD drafting practice. The studio's work is informed by practical experience in design support, drawing coordination, concept development and project delivery.
Is MADC an architecture, engineering or contracting practice?
No. MADC supplies documentation products and selected advisory services. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, MADC does not act as your architect, engineer, contractor, site supervisor or local authority approver.
Products and suitability
What does a MADC drawing package include?
The exact contents are shown on the product page. Depending on the package, this may include layouts, elevations, sections, details, material and hardware references, appliance information, installation notes and document-control information such as a drawing number or revision.
Are MADC drawings ready to build exactly as downloaded?
They are a structured documentation base, not a substitute for the final checks needed for your specific site. Before fabrication or installation, the responsible project team must verify dimensions, site conditions, materials, local requirements and specialist coordination.
Why can a standardised package work for different spaces?
Many cabinetry products use a modular control approach. It gives a repeatable starting structure for adapting the design to a real space. It does not remove the need to measure the site or make project-specific adjustments.
Can I use a MADC package without a designer?
You may use the package for its licensed project, but you remain responsible for appointing the professionals and contractors required for your location and scope. Regulated work—such as structural, electrical, plumbing or mechanical work—must be checked and carried out by appropriately qualified people.
Do the specifications require a particular brand?
Not always. MADC may identify a manufacturer, performance requirement or part number to make a selection clear. Availability, local equivalents, substitutions and installation suitability must be confirmed by the responsible project party before purchasing or building.
Does MADC guarantee that a material or appliance is available in my country?
No. Product references help communicate intent and performance. Supply availability, lead times, local codes and compatible alternatives vary by location and must be confirmed before procurement.
Can MADC customise a package for my site?
Where a bespoke service or advisory product is available, its scope will be stated on the relevant product page or proposal. Contact MADC before purchase if you need site-specific work; do not assume a standard product includes customisation.
Standards, documents and technical integrity
Is MADC ISO-certified?
No. MADC is not an ISO-certified organisation. Our drawing presentation and document-control methods are developed with reference to relevant ISO technical-drawing conventions, including conventions for drawing presentation, dimensions, CAD layers and title-block data.
What does “developed with reference to ISO” mean?
It means that relevant ISO frameworks inform parts of our internal working method. It does not mean that every Product is independently certified, approved for every country, or guaranteed to satisfy local construction law.
Why do MADC documents have drawing numbers, revisions and issue dates?
They help the project team identify the correct document version and understand whether a later release or change exists. A revision record supports coordination; it is not by itself construction approval.
What are file hashes and trusted timestamps for?
MADC may use file hashes, release records and trusted timestamps to identify a particular issued file and record that version at a particular time. They support document control and rights management. They are not a substitute for keeping the correct project version, and do not automatically decide ownership or a legal dispute.
What format will I receive?
MADC products are delivered as digital files, commonly PDF, through the MADC website or Client Portal. The product page will state any additional format, software requirement or access limitation.
Renderings and AI
Are MADC renderings construction instructions?
No. Renderings communicate design intent. The written specification, stated dimensions, drawing notes and scope are the primary technical references. Final materials, colour, lighting and appearance can vary with the site, fabrication and installation.
Does MADC use AI-generated images?
Some visual renderings may be created or modified with AI tools. Where this is the case, MADC identifies the image with the label “AI-generated rendering.”
Does an AI-generated rendering mean the drawing was made by AI?
No. A labelled rendering is a visual communication asset. It does not determine the authorship, scope or technical validity of the underlying drawing package. MADC may use digital tools for internal processing and consistency checks, but these tools do not replace professional judgment or site verification.
Can I use AI to read or change a MADC package?
Not without MADC's prior written permission. MADC Products may not be uploaded to, trained on, extracted by or used to create derivative output through an AI/LLM or automated-content system. If an automated tool is genuinely required for your licensed project, contact MADC first with the proposed tool and purpose.
Buying, payment and delivery
Which payment methods are available?
MADC accepts Visa and Mastercard through Stripe. Malaysian customers may also see FPX through Stripe and, where displayed, DuitNow QR payment to MADC's Hong Leong Bank business account. The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout.
Is my card information stored by MADC?
No. Card payments are processed through Stripe. MADC does not receive or store your full card number or CVV/security code.
What happens after I pay?
For Stripe card and FPX payments, the order is confirmed after successful payment notification. For DuitNow QR, the payment must be received and matched to the correct order reference. Digital access is released after payment confirmation.
Why has my DuitNow QR payment not released my order immediately?
DuitNow QR is a direct bank-payment route and may require reconciliation. Use the exact order reference where possible, then contact MADC with the order number, payment date/time, amount and transaction reference if confirmation is delayed.
Can I pay MADC by direct international bank transfer?
Only if MADC gives you a specific invoice and written payment instruction. A company Foreign Currency Deposit account is not a public instruction to send manual international transfers. For most international orders, use the Stripe checkout shown on the website.
I did not receive my download or cannot open a file. What should I do?
Contact MADC through the Client Portal or at info@maisonatelierdc.com with your order number and a description or screenshot of the issue. We will assist with access restoration, re-delivery, compatible format or another appropriate resolution.
Refund & Exchange FAQ
How do I request a refund, exchange or correction?
Submit the Product Return / Exchange e-Form in the Client Portal, or email info@maisonatelierdc.com if you cannot access your account. Our system issues an acknowledgement receipt with a case reference, then MADC aims to provide a written outcome within 7 calendar days of a complete request.
Do I need to give a reason for a refund request?
We invite you to explain what happened because it helps us resolve the issue and improve MADC. For an eligible EU/EEA statutory withdrawal, you do not need to give a reason.
Can I withdraw from an EU/EEA online order within 14 days?
EU/EEA consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for eligible distance purchases. For downloadable digital content, the right may end after you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that access/download begins the performance. This does not remove remedies if the Product is faulty, inaccessible or materially different from its description.
What if the Product is not as described or does not work?
Tell us promptly. MADC will review the issue and offer the appropriate remedy, which may include technical help, a corrected or replacement file, exchange, price reduction or refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain available where they apply.
Where can I read the full policy?
See the Refund & Exchange Policy for the four-step process, receipt templates and further details.
Why does MADC ask for a reason?
We need to understand what part of the product or experience led to the request. This helps us correct problems and improve future releases; it is not intended to make the refund process difficult.
Do I need to write a long explanation?
No. A short, honest description is enough. For an EU/EEA statutory withdrawal, you may write “EU/EEA withdrawal” without a further reason.
What if I cannot find my Stripe receipt?
Upload another payment confirmation showing the purchase, or email us for help. Do not send full card numbers, online-banking passwords or security codes.
How long does the money take to appear?
MADC sends a Refund Receipt when the refund is processed. Your bank, card issuer or payment provider controls when the credit appears, so an additional processing period may apply.
Can I exchange a product instead of receiving a refund?
Yes. State the product, version or format you prefer in the reason field. MADC will confirm availability and any price difference before completing the exchange.
My file will not open or is incomplete. What should I do?
Use the same form. Tell us what happened and, if convenient, include the error in the reason field. We can re-deliver the file, correct it, provide an appropriate replacement or arrange another suitable resolution.
Can I request a refund after downloading the files?
Yes. Downloading does not affect your rights if the digital content is faulty or not as described. For an EU/EEA change-of-mind withdrawal, the right may end after you expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge that consequence at checkout.
Does this policy replace my local consumer rights?
No. Mandatory consumer law continues to apply. If the law applicable to your purchase gives you stronger protection, that protection is not reduced by this policy.
How will MADC use the information in my request?
Only to identify the transaction, respond to the request, process the agreed resolution, prevent payment errors and maintain the related business record. Personal data is handled under the MADC Privacy Policy.
Account, privacy and cookies
Why do I need an account or Client Portal access?
The Client Portal provides secure account access, order records and controlled delivery of purchased files. Keep your credentials and download links private, and contact MADC promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Does MADC use Google Analytics or advertising tracking?
No. MADC does not use Google Analytics, analytics cookies, marketing cookies, behavioural-advertising cookies or advertising pixels. We use only essential cookies or equivalent technical storage needed for secure website, account, shopping-cart and checkout functions.
What information does MADC keep about my order?
MADC processes the information needed to administer and fulfil an order, provide account access, manage payment confirmation and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Consent and agreement records may include a timestamp. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I request access, correction or deletion of my personal data?
Yes. Email help@maisonatelierdc.com and state whether your request concerns access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. MADC may need to verify your identity and may need to retain limited information where law requires it.
Licence and intellectual property
What licence do I receive when I buy a Product?
Unless otherwise stated, the original buyer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for one Project at one physical Site. You may use the Product internally and share the relevant parts with appointed people working on that licensed project.
Can I give the files to my contractor or fabricator?
Yes, where it is necessary for the licensed project. They must keep the files confidential and may not reuse, retain or redistribute them after their project involvement ends.
Can I use the package again at another property or for another client?
No. A new phase, unit, address, relocation, expansion or re-fit requires a new licence unless MADC agrees otherwise in writing.
Can I post MADC drawings on social media or a shared drive?
Do not publicly post, distribute or upload MADC Products to open or shared locations without written permission. If you wish to publish a project image or feature the work, contact MADC for approval and a suitable attribution format.
I found a copied MADC Product online. What should I do?
Email legal@maisonatelierdc.com with the URL/location, relevant MADC document number or product name, and any screenshots. MADC will assess the report and may use the platform's rights-reporting process.
