Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms explain how MADC supplies its digital drawing packages, documentation products and services. They are written to make the relationship clear, not to take away rights you may have under applicable law.
In these Terms, MADC, we and us mean Maison Atelier Documentation. You means the person or business placing an order. Product means a digital product, drawing package, report or service supplied by MADC.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. Where checkout requires a tick box or equivalent confirmation, the agreement is recorded at that point. Our Refund & Exchange Policy, Privacy Policy and Intellectual Property terms also apply where relevant.
2. What MADC provides
MADC creates documentation products for interior projects: for example, drawing packages, reference documents, specifications and selected advisory reports. The exact content of each Product is stated on its product page, order confirmation or written proposal.
Our Products are intended to help communicate and coordinate design information. Unless we separately agree otherwise in writing, they are not site-specific architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or authority-approved construction documents.
3. Using the information responsibly
Every project has its own site conditions, local regulations, materials and construction methods. Before fabrication, installation or construction, the buyer and appointed project team must verify measurements, existing conditions, material availability, local requirements and specialist coordination.
Where work requires a licensed architect, engineer, electrician, plumber or other qualified professional, that professional must review and take responsibility for the regulated work in the relevant jurisdiction. MADC does not replace the appointed contractor, fabricator, site supervisor or licensed professional.
This is not a refusal to stand behind our work. MADC is responsible for supplying the Product described at the point of purchase. The boundary is that a standardised digital package cannot see, measure or approve your particular site.
4. Drawings, specifications and renderings
The written specification, stated dimensions, drawing notes and document scope form the primary description of a Product. Renderings help explain design intent, but should not be used as the sole basis for fabrication or as a guarantee of final material, colour, lighting or site appearance.
Some visual renderings on the MADC website or within a Product are created or modified with artificial-intelligence tools. These are identified with the label “AI-generated rendering” wherever they appear. They are used for illustration and communication; they do not change the written specification or replace technical verification.
If a Product appears incomplete, cannot be accessed, or materially differs from its stated description, please contact us promptly through the Client Portal or at info@maisonatelierdc.com. We will review the matter under our Refund & Exchange Policy and your applicable legal rights.
5. Your licence to use a Product
When payment is confirmed, MADC grants the original buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased Product for one project at one physical site, unless the product page or a written agreement states a different scope.
You may download, retain and print the Product for that licensed project. You may share the relevant information with the contractors, trades or consultants appointed to work on that project, only to the extent necessary for that work and subject to keeping it confidential.
The licence does not transfer ownership of the Product or MADC's underlying documentation system. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly upload, sublicense, offer as your own template, train an AI system on, or use the Product to create a competing documentation product or library without MADC's prior written consent.
The buyer may make project-specific annotations needed for the licensed project. If a change affects a dimension, material, fitting, technical requirement or construction outcome, it should be recorded and verified by the party responsible for that work.
6. Third-party references
MADC may name products, manufacturers, standards or part numbers to make information clearer. Those names belong to their respective owners. A reference is not an endorsement by that owner, a supply commitment, or a guarantee that a particular item is available in your location.
Suitable local alternatives may be used only after the responsible project party has checked their compatibility, performance and installation requirements.
7. Orders, payment and digital delivery
Prices, available payment methods and the Product scope are shown before checkout. Payment is handled through the payment method shown at checkout. MADC does not store full payment-card details.
Digital access is provided after successful payment confirmation. You are responsible for keeping your Client Portal credentials, download links and purchased files secure. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account or download access has been used without permission.
8. Returns, refunds and consumer rights
Our Refund & Exchange Policy explains how to request assistance, an exchange or a refund. It forms part of these Terms.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer law in your country continues to apply. In particular, consumers in the EU/EEA may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for eligible distance purchases and legal remedies where digital content or services are faulty, not as described or do not work as expected. The withdrawal right can be affected for digital content only where the customer has expressly requested immediate supply and acknowledged the consequence before access begins.
Nothing in these Terms or in a product licence limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. This includes any mandatory consumer protection that applies to a purchase MADC directs to your country.
9. Our responsibility to each other
MADC will use reasonable care in preparing and delivering its Products as described. We ask you to use the Product within its stated scope and to arrange the necessary site checks and professional review before construction.
To the extent permitted by law, MADC is not responsible for losses caused by site conditions, unrecorded changes, incorrect measurements, unavailable or substituted materials, contractor workmanship, local approval decisions, or use of a Product outside its stated scope. Nothing in this clause excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies.
For business-to-business purchases, and only where permitted by law, MADC's total liability connected with a Product is limited to the amount paid for that Product. This does not apply where a different written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
10. Changes to products or these terms
MADC may update future Products, website information and these Terms as our services develop or laws change. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or is clearly more favourable to you.
If we update a purchased digital Product, any update will be described through the relevant product, account or release information. Updates do not create a new project licence unless we say so in writing.
11. Governing law and questions
For business-to-business purchases, these Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and disputes are subject to the courts of Malaysia, unless a written agreement states otherwise.
If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove the mandatory consumer protections available under the law of your habitual residence. We prefer to resolve questions directly and fairly before either side takes formal action.
